Group Home Program

Through living skills training, we help people develop routines in their daily lives to create and maintain independence. Living skills trainers provide a wide range of assistance, from achieving major life goals like renting an apartment, to managing daily activities such as cooking healthy meals. We tailor our services to meet the needs of each individual, whether they are currently living in our group home, with family or they are already living independently.

LIVING SKILLS TRAINING

Financial Management: Managing bills and budgeting, signing up for and maintaining a bank account, and benefits tracking

Securing Housing: Searching for and applying for housing programs or rentals, as well as finding roommates

Job/Volunteer Prep: Applying for the Department of Rehabilitation to begin job development or finding volunteer opportunities

Cooking and Cleaning: Training in grocery shopping, healthy eating, and maintaining a neat home

Transportation: Training on how to use public transportation or studying for a driver’s license test

Social Development: Offering a wide variety of social clubs that are open to all Healthy Life Homecare LLC clients

We know the path to recovery is unique for everyone, so we partner with individuals as they create and pursue personal goals. Healthy Life Homecare LLC works with people who have experienced mental health, substance use, homelessness, and incarceration through multiple Loveland County programs, including Support and Treatment After Release (STAR) and Odyssey and Hope. Each of these programs operates under the County of Loveland Behavioral Health and Recovery Services. Our Community Mental Health services provide additional support and guidance for individuals enrolled in these programs as they create and explore their path to recovery.

MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

Living Skills: Developing good habits and routines in daily living can positively impact a person’s health, mood, relationships, and overall happiness. To learn more about these services, visit our Living Skills page.

Educational Planning: For school or vocational training, Healthy Life Homecare LLC partners with Student Accessibility Services are available through any community or state university.
Healthy Life Homecare LLC provides guidance with choosing a career path, applying to schools, and tutoring.

Vocational Counseling: Our specialists work with clients one-on-one as they identify their path to recovery. We also offer a 16-week class called Moving Forward which encourages individuals to identify their skills, talents, and values.

Employment Development: Healthy Life Homecare LLC provides services in all aspects of job preparation and job coaching for individuals who are seeking employment. A detailed explanation of these services can be found on the Employment Services page.

Volunteer Development: Volunteering is another way to build a resume, explore vocational interests, and develop job references. Healthy Life Homecare LLC will assist in locating and applying for volunteer opportunities. We can also provide job coaching for people in volunteer positions.

Record Expungement: Having a criminal record often creates a barrier to employment, the expungement process can be challenging, but Healthy Life Homecare LLC will help individuals with expungement petitions and tracking progress.

Helping young adults thrive

Young adults should have every opportunity to succeed. Our services address home, school, and work challenges so that they can thrive. Our young adult services (ages 16-25) range from at-home support, like learning to cook meals and make a personal budget, to educational and career guidance, mental health support, and social clubs. Young adults face many challenges in all aspects of their lives, and our goal is to help each. Individuals find balance, work towards clear goals, and become more independent.

Giving you access to the care you deserve

Qualification for government funding should never be a barrier for someone to receive the services they need. At Healthy Life Homecare LLC we know that there are some individuals who would like to receive our services but have difficulty enrolling in government funding sources due to ineligibility, difficulty navigating the system, or they would simply prefer to work directly with Healthy Life Homecare LLC. To fill this gap, Healthy Life Homecare has created a range of services to offer to anyone seeking support on a private pay basis.

Living Skills Employment Services

If you are not sure which services are right for you, we can explore your options together. If a person has little work experience or is unsure how Healthy Life Homecare can best partner with them, we provide a 10-hour discovery assessment that is unique to our private case management program. This assessment provides our staff with a comprehensive analysis of the person’s interests and skills, which shape the employment and living action plan for that individual.

Making life easier with transportation

Healthy Life Homecare LLC is committed to providing caregiving services of all kinds, including transportation services when necessary. Group home caregivers and In-home caregivers can assist with getting you or someone, you care for out of the house to enjoy the things that fulfill them or improve their quality of life. Running routine errands can become increasingly difficult due to aging, a disability, or a temporary mobility restriction, but that does not mean that a trip to the supermarket or the park should remain out of reach.

Transportation services may include:

• Trips to the drugstore for prescription pick-up, with or without the client
• Assistance with everyday errands such as grocery shopping, with or without the client
• Transport and assistance to and from doctor and therapy appointments
• Travel to visit family and friends, attend religious functions, and more.

When an individual has the ability to get out of the house and shop, buy a gift for someone they love, pick out vegetables for dinner, or even volunteer, he/she is able to preserve independence and strengthen overall well-being. We empower people to stay involved in daily activities in and around the home and away from the home, regardless of their ability to drive. Count on us for home care & camp and transportation.
